A UNIQUE EXPERIENCE FROM 13 TO 17 JULY
Within the framework of the 5th centenary of the conversion of Ignatius of Loyola, from 13 to 17 July 2022 we will hold our tenth congress in Barcelona.
It will take place in the Jesuïtes Sarrià-Sant Ignasi school, located in Carrasco i Formiguera street, 32, 08017 Barcelona.
A meeting for all the Alumni/ae of the world and the Ignatian Community where we can become aware of the potential we have as a global network and promote a shared mission to contribute with greater strength to build a more just and sustainable society.
A GLOBAL COMMUNITY
We are a global community serving a world made up of Alumni, Jesuits, 827 Jesuit Schools, 204 Universities as well as multiple networks, associations and centres spread over the 5 continents.
A NEW LOOK
We want to open a discussion on the great challenges that the world faces (Migration, Ecology, Technology, Women) and the tools that we have at our disposal (Religion, Social Innovation, Education and Professional Realm) in order to provide an Ignatian response to them.
A SHARED MISSION
Guided by Reconciling with God, Humanity and Creation as well as by the Apostolic Preferences set out by the Father General, we want to establish a plan of action that will allow us to strengthen our commitment to the future and pass the baton to young people.
A NETWORKED WORK
The magnitude and globality of the challenges requires us to be more efficient and effective than ever before. To this end, we at World Union Jesuit Alumni firmly believe that in order to fulfil this task and generate a greater impact, we must improve our networking.
AN GLOBAL PERSPECTIVE
The Congress will include an in-depth discussion between alumni from different countries of the world, Jesuits who are leaders in different fields and young people in general as representatives of the future.

A WELCOMING AND OPEN CITY
Cradle of Ignatian spirituality, modernism and Gaudí. For Saint Ignatius, Barcelona is a place of passage, a crossroads in his interior and exterior pilgrimage. The documents allow us to be certain about three stays of his in the city: two short ones, in 1523 and 1527, and one longer one, between 1524 and 1526.
Over the years, Barcelona has grown, led great movements and hosted world-renowned events. Today it is an architectural, cultural and technological centre of reference but it maintains its welcoming and friendly character. Barcelona, a city open to the sea, a city open to the world
